Position Summary
Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing a customer base within a specified territory while maintaining and developing existing accounts by increasing sales to current customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
Establish, develop and maintain strong positive business and customer relationships
Support the customer in the decision making process
Provide quotes for customers and deliver them promptly
Provide exceptional customer service and keep customers informed by communicating promptly, accurately and honestly
Work collaboratively with the team to support all steps in the process
Follow up with any issues and make sure they are dealt with in a timely manner
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies; as applicable.
Qualifications
Post secondary education
2-3 years of sales experience
Proven ability to meet sales goals
Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
Outgoing personality and ability to work in a fast paced environment
Good computer skills
Ability to travel
Valid Driver’s License
